What is the SASC?
SASC is a non-profit, charitable organization that offers: A 24-hour Support Line, Support Groups, Individual Support, Advocacy, Accompaniment to Court, Hospital, Police Information Packages, Public Education
Support to all women: immigrant, aboriginal, lesbian/bi, differently abled, women of colour, survivors of war and torture.

In 2008 Ottawa V-Day raised $43,000 that we donated to the Sexual Assault Support Centre in Ottawa. This year we are donating to SASC again, as well as the ORCC in 2010. 10% will also go to help support the campaign to end rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

What is the ORCC?
The Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre is a pro-active, anti-racist, feminist organization working to end all forms of sexual violence. We counsel and support women, educate for change and work to create a safe and equitable community.

Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre has been providing support to women since 1974. ORCC services are: 24 hour crisis line, an online interactive chat-room for youth, crisis and long term counselling for women survivors of sexual assault, and support for their friends and family members, accompaniment to hospitals, police stations, and court, public education in the form of presentations and workshops on sexual violence against women and related issues to high schools, universities, colleges, government institutions community groups and organizations.
